This version of the Core Agent supports the EDR 3 capabilities in Sophos Central. Live Discover allows admins to use Osquery to search the device data across their estate to answer almost any question they can think of. Live Response allows admins to remotely connect to devices and get access to a command-line interface. This enables them to perform detailed investigations or to take prompt action to contain or remediate a threat.

This coming Monday, (July 20, 2020), we are set to launch the new Sophos Global Partner Program. You can find all the details on the Sophos Partner Portal.
There will be a few changes to the deal registration and incumbency processes, and we would like to call these out specifically to make sure you transition to the new program smoothly.
Sophos Deal Registration
This is an established process and as a Sophos Partner, you can register new opportunities to receive higher discounts.
What’s New:
- Deal registration now only applies to core products
A summary of these products can be found in the Sophos price list. - Deal registration has been expanded and now allows for eligible upgrades
With “eligible upgrades”, we mean that an existing customer can upgrade to a new core product.
There is also additional criteria an opportunity has to meet in order to qualify for deal registration, such as meeting regional thresholds for SMB, i.e. run-rate, business. Check out our supporting material on the Sophos Partner Portal:

Sophos Incumbency
Sophos Core Products 2020
Incumbency gives you higher discounts on renewal opportunities (in case you were unaware, this existed prior to the launch of the new partner program). It’s available when an existing customer renews the same product they previously purchased.
What’s New:
- Incumbency now only applies to core products
A summary of these products can be found in the Sophos price list. - Incumbency must be requested before an opportunity is renewed
- Incumbency discounts only apply when renewing the same products for the same customer

Actions and Key Dates
The changes mentioned above will come into effect on July 20, 2020. Make sure you have access to the Opportunity Manager on the Sophos Partner Portal, so you can register deals and request incumbency without any delays.
Please note, that existing quotes will expire on July 17, 2020 and will be recalculated with new program discounts over the weekend. We recommend to close opportunities for non-core products prior to this date so you can benefit from higher discounts. Revised quotes will be available to view and download from the partner portal on July 20, 2020.
Furthermore, the Opportunity Manager will be unavailable from 12:01 EST on Saturday, July 18 to 11:59pm EST on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
